Our Statement of Faith
Advent Ministries, Inc. Believes:
1) That the Bible is the infallible, inerrant (without error) Word of God, that it is God’s holy and inspired Word, and that the Bible is absolute and our final authority.

2) That there is only one God, eternally existing in three persons, the Trinity –Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.

3) That Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. That through His conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth, Jesus is perfect Deity and true humanity united in one person forever.

4) That Jesus led a sinless life, took on the sins of all men for all time by His crucifixion, He died a physical death, was bodily resurrected from the dead after three days and that He ascended bodily into heaven and today sits at the right hand of the Father.

5) That all men everywhere are lost and face the eternal judgment of Almighty God, that all men need to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, and that by Jesus’ shed blood on the cross, He paid the penalty of our sin so that we can be accepted by God and born into His family.

6) That salvation is a free gift of God, that it is a work of grace and that it is freely available to all men, that by accepting this gift, we are saved, forgiven and justified by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.

7) That Jesus is coming back to this earth a second time and that at His second coming He will return as the King of kings and Lord of lords to consummate history and finish the eternal plan of God.

8) In holy Christian living, that the Holy Spirit of God indwells the believer in Jesus Christ, and that the Holy Spirit empowers us to live that holy life.

9) That faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is demonstrated by our showing the same compassion for people, near and far, that God showed and demonstrated for us. That this compassion moves us to labor for justice, peace, a Biblical stewardship of His earth and the restoration of the dignity of man, as one created in the image and likeness of God.

10) In the communion of the saints, membership in the greater body of Christ, His Church and active membership with and participation in a local gathering of believers and cooperative sharing with all Christians in the bond of unity so that all men will know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That we are first, citizens of the Kingdom of God where our allegiance is and that we are second, citizens of this world, its systems being subordinate to Almighty God.

11) That we as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are commanded to proclaim to the entire world the Gospel and to disciple all believers, to baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and to teach them to obey His commands, and thus fulfill the Great Commission.

12) Finally in the early creeds of the Church; the Apostle’s Creed, the Chalcedonian Creed and the Nicene Creed, and in the orthodox beliefs that those creeds have represented for all of the church through all of time.
